The Juliana Greenfield Family Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation organized in 2019 to honor our amazing and inspirational Juliana “JuJu” Sloane Greenfield. Juliana was only 5-years old when she gained her wings after a fearless and courageous battle with Neuroblastoma.  It was just after Juliana’s 4th birthday, in March 2018, when we received the news we wish upon no parents --- “your daughter has cancer.”  Our path to Juliana’s diagnosis was similar to those of many others who have a child diagnosed with neuroblastoma

--- several doctor visits, misdiagnosis and persistence.  Since there are only 650-700 new cases of neuroblastoma diagnosed in the U.S. each year, many pediatricians have never come across this terrible disease.  During Juliana’s treatment we frequently heard the words “kids are so resilient.”  We witnessed first-hand the resiliency and incredible strength of our own daughter, Juliana, as well as many other children battling this devastating illness.  Juliana wanted to live as normal of a life as possible. She would often play with her sister and friends at school and on the playground in between undergoing the harshest of treatments available to fight cancer.  Despite fighting for her with all our might, Juliana lost her battle to this devastating disease on June 22, 2019.  Juliana was unforgettable.  Her positive outlook even in the harshest of times, coupled with her fabulous sense of humor and infectious laughter, left a life-changing impression on everyone she met.  Juliana will always be an inspiration to us all.

Our fight continues to this day.  We now fight in Juliana’s memory for all of the other children and families who are fighting neuroblastoma.  Our continuous goal is to find a cure for neuroblastoma as well as improve the current treatments, which cause serious side effects, such as hearing loss, growth problems, infertility, cardiovascular disease, and subsequent cancers. The Juliana Greenfield Family Foundation is dedicated to identifying and funding neuroblastoma research programs throughout the country.
